Vista is meaningless. XP does everything I want to, and 98 does almost everything i want to while using less hard memory. Instead of having these OS use more and more memory they should use the same or less. It is a process of refinement, not cluttering. This is how I honestly feel, and I never plan to purchase Vista, or for that matter, any non-open source OS at anytime in my future.
That looks like a serious strike to vista and many new os in the future. businesses have no incentive to move up to vista and microsoft should not use their monopoly to try to force them to. i would like to see a more user-friendly version of linux, frankly. The current linux is unusable by the average oaf, such as myself. If it were interfaced properly [see: extensively, with notation], it would be *perfect* and free, and replace windows almost entirely in a few years unless Microsoft changed their ways dramatically.
